Light snow with a very cool NE breeze. Fed early in order to get to Lewistown for a Bison Committee meeting.

Last warm day for a while if the forecasts are correct. No moves and all cattle groups doing well. Traveled to Winnett to facilitate the Winnett Working Group and a conservation easement workshop.
Strong winds and warmer. Snow is disappearing. No gloves and I will start splitting paddocks again. Rick laid down some more straw in preparation for possible cooler weather and snow.
Cool but clear and sunny. Cows moved back into NBW12. Hopefully I can start splitting paddocks again.
Hard frost this morning. Warmed to low 30’s in the afternoon. I fed some Adolph older intermediate hay to calves and 3’s. Animals cleaned it up so I will probably purchase about 30 bales. I am still trying to get cows all into NBW10-almost there.
Cold morning. With Ryan and Wade, cut 3’s from steer calves, and trailed 3’s (85) over to Ryan’s. Calves stayed in SNG on half feed.
Returned from Bozeman-Helena trip and checked everything. All well cared for in my absence.
Drove to Bozeman for a Rangeland Monitoring Group planning meeting. On the evening I sat with Bozeman Sangha and gave a dharma talk.
Wade covered feeding chores. I attended Open Circle and stayed with Max and Joan that night.
