Overcast and cool. Mob moved to last split in EL4 where the walk to water is probably the longest in all of the ranch paddocks.

Very warm, especially for this time of year. Creating a 17 acre split in south side of EL5, we were able to measurably reduce dust from cows trailing to water. We are doctoring one calf-unclear on cause.
Clear, warm, and continued dry. Mob moved to next split in EL4 as we work the north side, mostly out of the trees.
Warm, clear, and dry. Finishing off the almost 100 acres paddock we created to graze the remainder timber section.
Clear and warm. We shifted our splitting strategy to accommodate ease of movement for cows to work the uneven topography of EL4. We still seem to be more severe in grazing pressure, which has allowed some loss of conditioning for our poorer doing cows.
Slight cooling trend with some cloud cover moving in on the 25th. First split on the 24th, and second split is 76 acres (almost twice our daily average) and may hold mob for 2 days. Rough topography leads to some expansion of daily paddock size.
Mild dry conditions prevail. 3 more splits in EL3. We continue to look like we are practicing no-select grazing. Good? Bad? Don’t know.
More wind and we now can see sky and clouds. Mid-day I moved cows to 2nd split in EL 3. Most days over at Lackey I am seeing and hearing the welcoming calls of the Pinyon Jays as they move through the pines.
Breezy and cool moving some smoke. Mid-day cows move into 1st split EL3.
