Weather just stuck in pattern of cool temps with steady winds. Cows worked two splits in SBW6.

Cool and overcast. Opened paddocks so cows can drift out of EL and head toward SBW6 where we will graze another timbered paddock.
Cool and windy. Cows are in east end of EL running on part of 3 paddocks. This move is an experiment to develop an East Lackey East cell center. The water and livestock flow is working well. I think we will implement/adapt this new center in next year’s grazing plan.
Cooler yet still nice. Cows trailed into EL6 late in the day. Heading to east edges of EL5a, 5, and 4 for 4 days. I observed one phlox blooming.
More mild weather. Cows trailed into SBW4 on way to east Lackey.
Continued mild conditions with light freezing at night. Cows moved to SG7 with temporary fence holding cows along creek to apply pressure on Canadian thistle.
Light snow yet no significant change in conditions. During the weaning period cows held in SG1 and calves in WL3.
A light drizzle this morning followed by some wind. A storm is on the way. Ryan weaned calves all on his own- a result of good working facility, relaxed cows, and Ryan’s skills.
More warm. I trailed cows into SBW 4 heading to Ryan’s to wean calves. See moon series. I tried to get all the way to Ryan’s corrals, but the bottom feed along the creek, made it feel like pushing honey. I left and went to move some bulls into a new paddock in NNG1.
