More nice weather. Two more splits in WG5. I am seeing some areas where Japanese Brome has re-germinated.
Very mild-near 70’s. Cows move into second split in WG5. Calvin delivers mineral.
Unseasonable warm weather continues. Cows move into first split inWG5.
High pressure pattern through stay in WG1. Mostly making daily moves through out 7day grazing period yielding 27 stock days (SDs) per acre.
Mild weather continues. Last split for WG2. Kevin Hyde from Climate office set up a mesonet station on the ranch, just east of the house-live recording weather station, including soil moisture.
Indian summer is on its way! Still moving cows every day.
Much warmer. Cows are being moved daily and still in WG2.
Warming and windy, but still a bit raw. Pre-conditioned calves. Trailed over Ryan’s, worked animals, and trailed back, all in about 5 hours. Rough-legged hawks arrive from the north.
Cold and some snow with mostly bitter early season NE winds. Forecasting warmer temps.
