Cooling off with snow forecast for later in the week. We plan to move cows from NBW tomorrow in advance of more snow.

While on the road for sangha time and RMG work, the weather turned warm and a lot of snow has disappeared, but by no means gone. Both groups are still accessing multiple paddocks.
Much colder. I opened NBW 11 to cows and fed 4 bales of straw. The 3’s received hay today, and I opened up west ½ of NG6a. 3’s can now access NG3, 4, and 6a. Until snow melts off, short moves in smaller splits will have to wait.
Warmer with some additional settling of the snow. I enclosed cows into NBW 10 and 12.
Hard frost. Solid matt of crusted and hard snow remains over much of the ranch. We are back to feeding straw for back up.
Heavy clouds and rain in the morning-a sloppy mess. Good we have grass that the cows can find among the slushy snow. Too wet to deliver feed.
More SW winds with increasing temperatures and decreasing snow. Both cow groups mostly left the straw to graze grass. Until more snow melts, we will stay in our multi-paddock units.
Turning warmer today with continued SW winds. It was a hay and straw day for both cow groups.
