Foggy cold frost, then snow blowing SW winds bringing warming temperatures, but not warm enough to slow the drifting. Forecast for melting temperatures tomorrow. No feeding today fearing winds would scatter the straw and hay.

Cold and mostly clear. Ryan had to chain up the truck to get to the bulls. I moved cows into NBW15 yesterday afternoon with encouragement from a cold NE wind, but moved back north this afternoon. We keep pushing all the straw that the animals want to eat. We are pretty locked into where we are, until the snow goes away.
Warm the turning cold and snowy by afternoon. More straw. And did I tell you about that runaway truck….?
Continued melting condition during the day, and then turning to rain by evening. By morning rain moved to snow, wind, and colder temperatures-maybe 6” of new snow. Until snow slows or stops we will sit tight. When the storm lifts we will go to moving straw for both groups.
Started very windy and cool, turning warmer with more melting. Cooling coming this week, with chance of locking up remaining snow, thus making grass hard to graze for the cows. Cows moved to next split on NBW10-also a feed day. 3’s moved to NG3.
Warm temperatures continue. No moves today. A lot of graze over of earlier used paddocks (NBW9, 10,12, 14) as snow continues to melt. Hopefully I can get cows into a new split tomorrow.
