Very pleasant. Cows moved to last split in NG6. Played golf with Dana in the morning. Recreation time-what a concept.

Nothing remarkable for weather. No moves. I traveled to Circle for the CMRCWG.
Partly cloudy and cool. Forecast for rain this week fell to the south of us-south of the Bull Mountains. Maybe 2 tenths received for the week. Bulls moved to next strip in NBW3. 270 plus calves on the ground. Anemone multiflorum is expanding on the north slope of the sandstone out crops on south end of NBW3-only place on the ranch where it is found. Meadowlark nest found with new chicks.
Cloudy and NE winds blow all day but little moisture to show for all the bluster. Cows moved into NG6a. Small flocks of Lark Buntings arrive. The bunting’s arrival, if in large numbers, often herald good moisture.
Clouds keep building. No moves today. I put in four temporary paddocks for the coming week.
Cool and damp broken clouds to the west, and breezy. Plants showing some moisture stress. May the predicted rains be predictable. I moved cows into NG6, first split. Levi from PFW, and I took the next steps for the large landscape bird monitoring project. Yard is alive with goldfinches, warblers, and I spotted one male American redstart.
The day starts like the last one ended-cool with moist clouds but no measurable rain. Re-plan-we moved 23 bulls into old CRP in NBW 3. I wanted to go to prepared paddock in WL but the piping broke in the winter tank.
Continued moderate temperatures. Worked on paddock fence in WL in preparation for bulls.
Hot like 88 degrees hot, yet cooling by evening. Opened up NG3 to cows. I fenced off the spring. A group of around 15 ravens have been hanging in the calving area. Breezy.
