Windy and cooler again. Cows moved into next split in SG6 and began watering at the cell center in the NW corner of the paddock. Every move the cows are chasing the drying, yet still nutritious sweet cover.

Turning warmer. Cows moved themselves to next split-I forgot to heat the fence. All were very content when I showed up.
Cool and continued windy pattern. I returned to Phillips County for range tour on Barthelmess Ranch. Fire could be a new tool. Returned too late to move cows.
Cool and windy but no rain. Heavy rains in upper watershed. Cows moved to last split in SG5. I facilitated a Coalition meeting. Sage thrasher was seen and heard in NE corner of SG5.
Mild and breezy with a dramatic thunderstorm in the evening, yielding a couple tenths of moisture. Bulls and cows stayed put. Ferruginous is still nesting in big cottonwood in SG6. Winterfat (high protein semi-shrub) is increasing in the lower portion of the paddock.
Steady and cooling NE winds, along with high thin clouds during the day indicating possible future storm activity. Cows broke out to the west briefly. Heavy clover kept them from straying too far. Cows moved back to 5th split in SG5.
