More feeble efforts to rain, yet hardly settled the dust. But cooler. Cows broke into rest of NBW3. I was hoping to make 2 more split, but we just went with it. Cows now watering at center just east of house.

Warming back up. The whole herd moved into NBW3 with a little help.
Much cooler. Some feeble attempts to rain. Cows moved to 1st split into NBW3. Only part of herd moved by evening.
Red flag warning. Windy and hot. Cows move into 5th and last split in NBW4.
Cooler and clearer skies then turning warmer again. Basically, we have been in a dry period since wed received the late August moisture. Grass growth has stopped. We have moved cows through four splits in NBW4. I needed to push cows back to water center as cows were hanging on a few muddy potholes along the creek bottom. About half cows then moved back into NBW3-16. It took a about a day to get everybody back together. Bulls came out on the 12th. Continue to enjoy the fall migrants, particularly the warblers, as they stop to feed and rest at out headquarters, as they move south.
Very warm and very smokey. Cows move into 1st split in NBW4. I saw a rant of ravens-60 or plus birds. Meadowlarks are in full fall singing.
Heat and smoke return big time. Two more moves in NBW3 and 16.
Warm and more clear skies. Cows move into 1st split in combined NBW3 and 16.
Warm, dry and smokey decisions return. Four more splits in NBW5.
