Weather: A little morning ice on the yard puddle but mild conditions prevail in the afternoon.

Where: Cows (254) in L-16. Bulls (18) in WG-4. Heifers (75) still in lot. Tyler trailed cows back into L-16. Sage (Tyler’s pup) starting to work. Heifers escaped up to the hay yard, but Max and I returned them to the corrals by late morning. Weather: Sharply cooler yet quite tolerable.

Counting out to pasture Tyler and I counted 268 cows. 240 calves received preconditioning vaccinations. Great work crew and the cows flowed through the chute like water. Weather: At midday the temperature hovered around 60.
