More of the same. A season of wind for sure this year. No moves.
Mostly cold and mostly warm, with wind. Pairs and young cows feed day. I moved young cows into last split in SNG7.
Warming SW winds shake loose the frost with a modest warming. No moves.
The chill continues with light snow. Pairs stay put and young cows moved into next split.
Another damp and chilly cloudy day. Cows break into EL7, and with all the meetings, I choose to allow them the whole paddock.
Another frosty white humid day (99%). It was a Pairs feeding day (10 bales). All went well.
Humid, damp, cold and chilly NW wind to sharpen the bite. No moves for cows. Young cows moved to next split. In the afternoon, I travel with the Laura and Levi Nowlan to the Antelope Spring Ranch to gather with some Regenerative advocates, and a powerful consultant from the Bay Area, who helps funnel needed capital from “patient capital’ to regenerative projects. Ryan and Adolphs’ made good progress on weaning facility.
Cool and breezy and not uncomfortable-quite acceptable run of moderate weather conditions for mid-December. No moves. Young cows getting 1 bale a day. I connected with Angus, our personal/ranch lawyer, with plans to refocus our succession planning, with hopes of having the next steps completed by June 2020.
